This rest area project is located on Interstate 90 approximately  between mile post 143 and 144 in Granite County, MT.  The project consists of one fully accessible rest area facility on each side of the interstate.  Each building focuses on safety of visitors. The central lobby has a higher roof than the surrounding structure. This height difference allows for a visual connection to the building entry from any point in the parking area.  Large exterior windows facing the parking area allow users a clear view to the building interior before entering and a view to the parking area for the interior prior to exiting.  Each building includes 8 private restrooms divided equally between male and female users.
